we understand Azon shareholders received $2.40 per share as consideration from ITW - in addition a special dividend of 7 cents per Azon share, fully franked at the 36% tax rate, was paid on 23 August 1996 to shareholders registered at the record date of 15 August 1996 - shareholders who accepted the ITW offer still received the special divided (except in relation to any Azon shares purchased on-market from the ex-dividend date of 7 August 1996 onwards)
